Does it mean it will never select free non premium models or daily limited non premium model?

Hey, yes, that’s correct. Auto-select never uses non-premium models, and it doesn’t choose models with daily limits either.
May I ask why about the former?

There are already no less than at least 5 free models by now. Why would Auto-select ignore 23% of the models?
The docs removed all traces of daily limits (the only visible limit is o3 being only in MAX Mode), does it mean GPT 4.5 Preview, o1, o1-mini, etc. are part of Auto-select now…? If so, that could drain everyone’s accounts since such models, especially GPT 4.5 Preview, have a crazy Cost (requests/message) aka “how resources are counter towards your quota” - to illustrate: 10 messages of GPT 4.5 Preview will finish one’s monthly quota.
