Does Bugbot Credit apply to general On-Demand Usage?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to understand how Bugbot Credit is applied.

In our team billing dashboard, credits appear as part of the overall credit balance, and the UI says credits will be automatically applied to Cursor usage. However, the remaining credit is labeled as “Bugbot Credit,” so I’m not sure whether it applies to all On-Demand Usage or only to Bugbot-related usage.

I understand that early migration to usage-based Bugbot billing may generate pro-rated credits for pre-paid Bugbot seat fees.

Does anyone know whether Bugbot Credit can offset general On-Demand Usage, such as regular model usage and Cursor token fees? Or is it limited only to Bugbot / agent_review usage?

Also, will this credit be consumed before any Stripe charge is made?

The UI is confusing because it looks like a general account credit, but the label says “Bugbot Credit.”

Has anyone confirmed this?

Hey, good question. The label and the banner text here are genuinely confusing.

Bugbot Credit is scoped only to Bugbot usage, specifically Bugbot PR review runs (GitHub/GitLab). It doesn’t apply to general On-Demand usage. It won’t cover regular model usage, Composer/chat/Cmd+K, or Cursor token fees. So it isn’t general account credit, even though the banner makes it look like it’s applied to Cursor usage.

On your second question, yes. For eligible Bugbot usage, the credit is used first before anything is billed to Stripe/on-demand. For everything else, there’s no matching credit, so it’s billed as usual.

I’ll pass along feedback to fix the banner copy. Having Bugbot Credit next to applied to Cursor usage is really misleading. Let me know if you still have questions about your balance.
