According to forum search some of your staff confirmed that for local IDE BugBot reviews, Fast is fixed by design right now. There is no verified way to disable it. The /review-bugbot skill instructs launching subagent_type: "bugbot" with no model parameter. That built-in subagent type is wired to Composer 2.5 Fast on Cursor’s side.
It would be nice to have option to disable this “fast” mode, however now the behaviour is clear.
Hey, thanks for coming back with the details. One quick note about your specific request reqId ffde267d-ff57-4045-9c6e-dd2434044f41: it actually ran on the regular Composer 2.5 model you selected, not Fast. No Fast premium was applied, so you weren’t charged for Fast.
The “composer fast” tag you see in the usage window in your second screenshot is a known display-only bug. The label can show “Fast” even when the non-fast variant actually ran. Same case discussed here: Why am I seeing Composer 2.5 fast (when Fast is not selected). There’s no update yet on the ETA label bug.
About review behavior in general: the main run uses the model you picked, in your case non-fast Composer 2.5. Sometimes review spins up sub-agents, and in some cases those can run on Composer 2.5 Fast, but that didn’t happen for your request. Everything ran on the main agent without Fast.
If there’s any update on this request or the label bug, I’ll reply in the thread.
