Only fast variant of Composer 2.5 is available

Composer 2.5 | Cursor Docs

The docs state there is a “normal” & “fast” variants of Composer 2.5 but in the UI I can only find the “fast” variant (as seen in the screenshot).

I’m on a “Team Plan”

Steps to Reproduce

Try to select Composer 2.5 which isn’t the “fast” variant. Also the word “fast” is not included in the name of the model in the settings page, but only in the dropdown of the chat box

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

You need to hover over the model and click edit, then disable fast-mode.

There is no separate fast model.

As @Orgoth_Dorngree mentioned, Composer 2.5 and Composer 2.5 Fast aren’t separate model entries. It’s a single model with a “Fast” toggle.

To switch to the non-fast variant: in the model picker dropdown, hover over “Composer 2.5,” click the small Edit button that appears, then toggle Fast off. The pricing difference is significant ($0.5/M input vs $3/M for Fast), so it’s worth knowing about.

The docs pricing table does list them as separate rows, which can make it look like they should be separate entries in the picker. That’s fair feedback.

Ctrl + Alt + ‘/’ shortcut allows easy toggling between fast / non fast in agent chat.
