Our team has been using Cursor across several projects, and we’re incredibly satisfied with the experience! The @codebase feature, in particular, has been a game-changer—it allows team members who are less familiar with the project to quickly find answers.
We’re wondering if Cursor provides an API for Business Plan users that would allow us to replicate a similar experience outside the IDE.
For example, we’d like to enable our non-tech colleagues to quickly get answers about our system’s implementation (e.g., “How does our subscription mechanism work?”). The idea is to integrate such functionality into a custom Slack App, where users could type something like /codebase and receive responses similar to what a developer might get when using @codebase in the Cursor IDE.
Additionally, we’d love to be able to customize system prompts to tailor the responses to our internal use cases.
Does Cursor currently offer such an API or have plans to provide one? If yes, could you share documentation or guidance on how to get started?
