Easier code-block left-right scrolling

Hello,

This is a simple, yet very effective feature request. Scrolling code-blocks left and right in the chat interface is a nuissance, as you have to reach the scroll bar down below, to scroll a little to the right, then go back above to see the section that was hidden before. Do that 5 times and you’ll already get annoyed.

The current method (Mouse left-click + drag to the right) is very glitchy and doesn’t work most of the times as you expect it to.

My suggestion is to add a scrollbar at the top of code-blocks within the chat-interface. Though there may be other creative ways to add left-right scrolling (without needing to reach the bottom of a code-block).

Thank you greatly!

The vertical scrolling it self is a pain unless Cursor is in full screen mode, I can rarely grab the bar to scroll down since it is so thin.

@TuTeVs

I just tried holding Shift and using the mouse wheel, and it scrolled horizontally.

I was looking at a long code snippet provided in response to a Ctrl + L chat.

Shift + Mousewheel seems to work in the main editor area as well.

If it doesn’t work for you, perhaps check if you have mousewheel enabled in settings. Not sure if that is related or not, but I enable mousewheel zoom etc.

@Henkey

Have you turned off narrow scrollbar in Cursor settings?
