Steps to Reproduce

Restart cursor and retry an switch models ; neither works

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

hi @littlethumb123 and thank you for the detailed bug report.

Could you please check following as this may be relevant to the error:

  • Do you use a custom API Key or URL?
  • Which models did have that problem?
  • There may have been a temporary outage somewhere, does it still occur?
  • Please check Settings > Network > Run Diagnostic and report any errors shown there.

Thanks for response 1) I didn’t use any API keys or URL .2) claude-4.5-sonnet thinking 3) yes it still persist; 4) the diagnosis has passed in all fo the test section (so it’s not network issues.

@littlethumb123 could you check if this occurs with other models?

A Request ID with privacy disabled would be good as from your last Request ID was with privacy enabled and we can not see much info there. Getting a Request ID | Cursor Docs
