what rule it actually didn’t delete whole folder. just all files under folder. user holder stands whole

I have never done it myself haha

Try it

Cool beans didnt think something like that wouldn’t be on by default  I am LOL’ing not being angry . still a bug. There about a trillion options. will make sure i dont give it the rm/rf* bc I should have expected it? Have a good one!

a lot of people have this issue. Cursor team said that it’s not a bug, it’s a feature

Hey, thanks for bringing this up again. I agree that potentially dangerous commands should be disabled by default, since they can really harm users who aren’t familiar with terminal commands.

But I also think this isn’t a bug, because the agent does need the ability to delete files and folders inside the project. Blocking these commands completely could really limit what the agent can do.

I think having them disabled by default, with an option to enable them if needed, would be a good solution.

I’ve also logged this issue in our internal tracker so the team can review it.

Just to be clear , im familiar enough with terminal commands to know what happened so I don’t think it’s just becaue Im an idiot . I just asked it to do a health check or something mundane and it decided things would be in fact better all gone. It was a fresh install and I was experimenting, simple as that. Thanks
