experiencing issues with the automatic code editing tools in Cursors

Hello,

I’m experiencing issues with the automatic code editing tools in Cursor, specifically with the AI assistant. Despite having a business subscription, the editing tools are not working properly:

Issue details:

  • The AI assistant cannot make automatic edits to files
  • The edit_file and reapply commands consistently fail
  • This occurs in every new conversation session
  • The problem persists even after restarting Cursor

Expected behavior:

  • The AI assistant should be able to automatically edit files
  • Changes should be applied directly through the assistant’s commands

Current behavior:

  • The assistant acknowledges the edit commands but no changes are actually made
  • The assistant reports “The apply model made no changes to the file” for every attempt

This makes the business subscription features less functional than expected. Could you please help investigate this issue?

Environment:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Cursor version: Latest
  • Subscription type: Business

Can you give me a time frame for the fix ?

Hello,
The file editor works for one code but not for another. It’s apparently because my code is long, 6,500 lines long. This is causing me problems. Is there a way to fix this?
