Error - edit_file

Past 20 minutes, every agent edit fails with “error calling tool edit_file”

I’ve tried opening multiple chats, restarting cursor and restarting my computer.

Claude 3.7
Windows 10
Cursor 0.48.7

Can no longer work until this is fixed. Wasn’t happening until I updated this morning.

Did you update to the latest version?

I used to get this error a lot before the update, but now it’s gone

Same here. Can’t use the product, can’t work. Horrible, I waste my credits.

Hey, if anyone not on privacy mode can send a request ID, this would be super helpful to track this down and resolve it!

We are working hard on this issue. For us to help, would be really helpful to have more info about:
1- Model
2- Was this a new conversation/ long conversation? Do you have the button Load older messages on the top?
3- Version
4- Device
5- Request id (if privacy mode disabled)
6- Request input

And any other information you think may be important. Thanks in advance!

This is the new issue:

Connection failed. If the problem persists, please check your internet connection or VPN

Resume button continued generation. It seems it was for some other reason.

I think I can reproduce the error. I will report it with “Error calling tool ‘edit_file’.” message.
