Hi everyone,
I’m considering subscribing to Cursor annually. If I use up the 500 monthly requests before the month ends, is it possible to purchase additional requests? How does this work? Also, do any unused requests carry over to the next month?
I’d appreciate any insights from current subscribers.
Thanks in advance!
Hey, you can purchase more requests if you enable usage-based pricing and set the limit you need in your account.
Hi deanrie,
Thanks for the info! I have two specific use cases I’d like to clarify regarding the yearly subscription:
Use Case 1:
In the first month, I use only 400 out of 500 fast request messages.
Question:
Would the 100 remaining requests roll over and be added to the next month’s 500 requests, or do they reset?
Use Case 2:
On the 20th day of the month, I run out of all my requests. I decide to purchase an extra set of 500 requests.
Question:
If I don’t use all of these additional requests by the end of the month, will the remaining ones roll over to the next month, or do they expire?
I’d really appreciate your help in understanding how this works. Thanks!
Your remaining requests do not roll over to the next month. Instead of being able to purchase additional request packages as before, now each additional request is charged at 4 cents. This is equivalent to 500 requests for $20.
Therefore, if you don’t use all your requests in the current month, they simply reset, and you start with a new limit the next month. If you need additional requests, they will be charged at the specified rate.
