Extensions aren't loading on cursor

Hey Cursor Team,

Since today morning, I am not able to see any of my installed extensions inside cursor. Attaching screenshot for your reference. I’m on 0.48.8 (MacOS 15.1). Infact I received an update today morning and since then it’s behaving weirdly.
Anyone else facing a similar issue?

Yeah me too: failed to fetch errors etc

Hey, open the DevTools panel to check for any errors.

It is very weird because the old project when I open, it shows the extensions. This happened after I updated my cursor today morning. If I open a new window, I see empty extensions.

On the left is the new (recently created folder) project. On the right is the old project window (which I was working even before updating the cursor this morning). Both are same version of cursor. You can see on the right side, despite the extensions loading, I see a CORS to the marketplace extensions from cursor api.

Can you please immediately fix it? Even searching and installing the extensions on the left window (new project) is not working smoothly.

It is CORS error. Please can you fix it?

Can you please let us know the update? This is completely stopping me from working. I can’t use any of the existing extensions at all! This is insane that you guys don’t even notice such simple errors before publishing the update.

If you can’t give an ETA, better refund the money we pay as pro subscribers.

With me the extensions where acting slow to import or download failed due to fetch but that may be because I am on a personal hotspot. So forget my specific issue

For others who had gotten into the trap of similar issue.

I debugged it myself. Figured out that your update messed up with the profile selection. Toggling the profile to the default one brought me back all my extensions. But honestly super disappointed with the @cursor team.

Same… Seems like this update was terrible

Hey, we are looking into this, but don’t see any immediate issues that would be causing problems with extension installing!

It seems Cursor is facing a serious issue. Microsoft gonna use its power to restrict its product, seems many extensions will be only available or can be used in vscode
