Hey guys,
my coworker updated his Cursor from 3.3.16 to 3.3.27 and now every extensions functionality is gone. There is no entry when he types in “extension” in Ctrl-Shift-P nor in the VIEW menu.
Claude Code is gone and there seems not to be any way to reinstall it. He uninstalled Cursor and reinstalled, no change. No extensions anymore in cursor.
What is he missing?
Thanks in advance, best
WulleBulle
I am not exactly sure if the issue is the same for your coworker as me, but I had Cursor auto-update too few days ago. I tried fixing for several hours, turns out I just had to press “File” then “Open Editor Window”, now I have access to all my extensions again.
I hope this will help you guys.
I just install cursor 3.3.27 and same I can’t find the extensions.
Thanks for the solution that works.
Meanwhile we found another and for us better solution. We installed Claude for Windows, the Windows desktop app. No further use of VS Code and Claude Code plugin. It’s a great native Claude Code IDE. It was a seamless transition because the new programme takes over the Claude Code Extension paths and memories.
