Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?
Cursor IDE
Describe the Bug
Hi everyone,
We publish the following extensions:
- altimateai/vscode-altimate-mcp-server
- innoverio/vscode-dbt-power-user
We’ve run into an issue with Cursor’s trust popup.
When installing the dbt Power User extension, the trust dialog sometimes does not appear. However, if we manually install its underlying dependencies first, the trust popup reliably shows up again.
The dbt Power User extension depends on:
- ms-python/python
- samuelcolvin/jinjahtml
- altimateai/vscode-altimate-mcp-server
Ideally, we’d like both our extensions and their dependencies to be properly recognized and trusted by Cursor without needing manual installation steps.
Has anyone encountered this before, or is there guidance on how to ensure trust prompts trigger correctly for extensions with dependencies?
Thanks!
Steps to Reproduce
