Everything was fine until yesterday… slow requests took a while, but it was workable, from yesterday in the late afternoon until now, a request takes around 10 minutes, impossible to use like this, if they don’t improve unfortunately I’ll have to cancel and look another tool that suits me better.
Do you have any official feedback to pass on to us? I see a lot of people complaining, but there is no official position from the company on whether this situation will continue or whether they will resolve it definitively.
I’m sorry, but for me this official response has only frustrated customers more. It’s saying something like, if you want more performance, buy more tokens, and it also states that the more you use it, the slower it will be… so what’s the point of unlimited use? But it wasn’t like that before, the user would reach the limit of 500 requests, but it still worked really well. And finally, they didn’t make it clear at any point whether they will deliver the same performance as before. I’m inclined to cancel my subscription and look for another service.
I really believed in this project and established partnerships counting on the support of this tool, some projects are getting delayed because of this problem, it’s really frustrating.
What’s yours my friend? Don’t take the focus away from the real problem we’re discussing here, or is that ok for you??? What I do or don’t do with my partnerships is my problem. But not to be rude and answer your question, it’s not that I depend exclusively on the tool, but it helps me speed up the development process, is there any problem with using it this way? A project that I would deliver in several months, developing with the cursor, I can drastically reduce the delivery time due to the agility in development. Anyway…
I have zero problems paying extra for more tokens when I need them. This product has cut down my development time and clients have been happier than ever seeing results so suddenly. It lets me finish projects faster and move onto other ones. Right now I am spending about $60 per month on tokens and have no speed issues… rarely anyways.
Its like having an extra army of developers on my team. That would cost me way way way way more than the $60-$80 I pay per month for cursor. Be thankful its at this price whilst it still is or just move your money elsewhere and run back when you find out the grass isnt greener
You know what would fix it? If they for once and all added Ollama support (I’d use this a lot) and DeepSeek V3.
It’s a simple fix but they’re in business, and their solution is to get as much money out of people as possible by making them pay more, in an… interesting way.
I don’t have a problem paying for the service but my main problem is that even with over 300 fast tokens available this doesn’t seem to be working for me and requests are slow. Also noticed it saying I’m using gpt-4o even though I’ve never tried that model. Is anyone having this problem with fast requests. I’m on version 0.44.11 trying to upgrade to see if that will fix it
Hey, as long as you have fast requests available, your requests should be completed almost instantly. If you are having issues, please drop us an email at hi@cursor.com and they will try to help you out.
+1 for just paying more. If you’re being cheap and want to develop a huge pet project for no money, then Cursor probably isn’t for you.
However, if you actually work and it improves your performance, I don’t see any problem with paying a bit more. I’m currently paying about $60-80 a month just because I’m using the agent A LOT.
It might not be a universal saver, but for some specific tasks, it has cut down my development time by about 80%.
My ROI will probably be around 5,000-10,000% overall, so it’s totally worth it.
