“I’ve tried restarting, checking server status, no VPN, logging out, clearing the ~/Library/Application Support/Cursor folder, and a clean reinstall, but the issue persists.”

Hey, thanks for the report. To help diagnose this, could you please provide:

  • Exact error message: What specific error appears when agents fail to create? (A screenshot would help)
  • Network Diagnostics: Go to Cursor Settings > Network > click Run Diagnostics and share the results
  • Request ID: Try creating an agent with Privacy Mode disabled (Cursor Settings > Privacy) and share the Request ID from the error
  • Console logs: Open Help > Toggle Developer Tools > Console tab, try creating an agent, and share any red errors

Also, does this happen in a brand new chat thread or just existing ones?

Quick things to try:

  • Enable HTTP/1.1 fallback: Cmd + , > search “HTTP/2” > enable Disable HTTP/2
  • Try a different network (mobile hotspot) to rule out ISP blocking
