Hi Cursor Team,
I’ve recently transitioned from VS Code and am loving the AI features. However, when working on modern ultra-wide monitors, the current layout constraints for the AI Chat and Composer side panels can make it difficult to maintain focused reading or long-form prompt editing.
In VS Code, many developers rely on centering or maximizing their active panels to strip away visual noise and focus entirely on reading or typing long interactions.
The Request:
Please add native support to maximize or center the main Chat/Composer window. Ideally, this should include:
A dedicated UI button or icon directly on the panel header to instantly toggle full-screen/maximized mode.
Exposure of this action as a command in the Keyboard Shortcuts settings (e.g., workbench.action.toggleMaximizedChat), allowing custom keybindings.
This single feature would drastically improve ergonomics and focus for desktop power users. Thank you!
