Hi Cursor Team!
We all remember the huge positive impact (and the well-deserved furore!) when you introduced the textSizeScale setting. It was a massive win for usability and showed how much you care about our eyes.
However, font size is only one part of the reading experience. To achieve a truly professional, ergonomic typographic environment, we believe it’s time for the next evolution. In my opinion, having full control over dialog UI typography is not just a “nice to have” — it’s a significant competitive advantage for a modern AI-powered tool.
Currently, long AI responses can still feel like a “monolithic wall of text.” We would love to have native settings for:
- Rhythmic Control (Line Height & Paragraph Spacing): To give the text room to breathe and separate ideas clearly.
- Granular Styling: The ability to customize specific Markdown elements (like the italic spans, bold text, and headers) to create better visual hierarchy.
- Theming Flexibility: Access to extended theme tokens or custom CSS specifically for the Chat webview.
By giving us the tools to control the “air” and the “rhythm” of the text, you allow us to focus longer and process AI logic more efficiently.
