Would love to be able to set smaller line height and font size in the chat code blocks. I tried to do it through custom css, but it looks like your code blocks styles are fully defined by js, and when I try to change size in css, it just breaks the functionality.

yeah we should be able to change the chat font. In my case, I need to INCREASE the cursor font-size because resizing panels all the time is driving me crazy. I think its a limitation of vscode or something like that. There are some alternatives mentioned in this forum, but sadly none of them worked for me.
