Hello Cursor team and community,
I’m writing to request an important improvement in subscription management. Currently, it’s very difficult to see the exact consumption and remaining balance within the current billing cycle, which is essential for efficiently managing service usage.
Current Problem
The Dashboard → Usage shows detailed breakdowns but NO a single counter that displays “X of Y used” or “X remaining”
Alerts only appear at 75% and 90% thresholds, limiting proactive planning
To know the exact consumption, users must contact support or manually calculate by summing individual values
Why This Is Important
Resource Management: Users need to know how much they’ve spent and how much they have left to adjust their usage
Planning: Allows users to change their usage strategy before exhausting their quota
Transparency: This is basic information that should be visible on the dashboard
Better UX: Prevents surprises at the end of the cycle and improves trust in the service
Proposed Solution
Add a visible indicator in Dashboard → Usage (or in a highlighted section) that displays:
Current cycle consumption:
[Visual progress bar]
X / Y used (Z% of monthly limit)
Remaining: X until [renewal date]
Or in simple numeric format:
Monthly limit: X | Used: Y | Available: Z | Renewal: [date]
Suggested Location
Top of Dashboard → Usage section (immediately visible)
Or in Settings → Account → Usage within the application
Or both locations for maximum visibility
Expected Impact
Better subscription usage management
Reduction in support inquiries about consumption
Increased user satisfaction
Better planning of usage until renewal
