Just wanted to say, that I am really excited using Agent mode + Sonnet 3.7.
If I am not lazy to carefully look after him, he do almost all the work, including analyzing, architectures design, runs tools.
I see that it is still necessary to control how it does a task, if it turns on early stage of development to a wrong direction, you will have almost unresolvable problems.
Go step by step, like if you work with an intern: plan architecture with him, project layout, choose technology stack, review every change, write tests, commit every intermediate step, ask questions about uncertainties, force to refactor doubtful code. Then it works and multiples efficiency by tens.
It was really big step from Normal Composer with Sonnet 3.5
Cursor crew, great job!
P.S. It is still required to understand how all this programming stuff works, but I think this is good news for us, experienced developers
I am sorry, I do not know why this post was placed in Bug Reports, I didn’t choose anything, and I couldn’t find how to move it to another category.
I’m on version 0.45.17 and I too love the agent. Lately the forum is filled with unhappy folks, I was one of them a few days ago. (Didn’t even bother opening Cursor for many days after reading the horror stories of the latest updates.)
But for me everything seems just fine, after getting back into it. And I love Sonnet 3.7. I do relatively short agent sessions, before starting a new. Haven’t yet tried anything too big.
