`@folder' doesn't work without codefiles

Describe the Bug

`@folder’ does not work if the folder does not contain files with the code. This makes it more difficult to use Cursor for data analysis.

Steps to Reproduce

@folder_name_without_scripts

Operating System

Windows 10/11

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Version: 2.0.46 (user setup)
VSCode Version: 1.99.3
Commit: c9bf994907e303cf5a430bdec54af9e41e1ebed0
Date: 2025-10-31T20:49:33.175Z
Electron: 37.7.0

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor
