Frequent Cursor crashes making work difficult - normal or concerning?

I’m new to Cursor but have been using it heavily (8-10 hours daily) over the past few days for work. Unfortunately, I’m experiencing frequent crashes - sometimes as much as once or twice an hour.

Is anyone else experiencing this level of instability? I have a MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021) with the following specs:

  • Chip: Apple M1 Pro
  • Memory: 16 GB
  • Storage: Macintosh HD
  • Serial number: M7Y9H77MH3
  • macOS: Sequoia 15.3.1

I can’t understand why this is happening or if this is just part of the growing pains for Cursor as it develops. Any insights, similar experiences, or troubleshooting tips would be appreciated!

I’m also encountering similar issues, similar computer stats to yours. Crashes almost once every 15 minutes… its basically unusable at this point since the latest update I regret doing.

Hey, I appreciate the reply. However, I’m not a skilled developer, so I’m not sure how to exactly get more details on the errors that are being thrown. All I know is that it’s crashing constantly, and I’m not sure why. I don’t know how to get more evidence to answer your question. If you could give me some insights on how to do that, I could share more.

You don’t get any visible errors? Try opening the DevTools panel and see if there are any errors there.

The crashes are very frequent making it difficult for any work to be done.

Same here. Cursor crashes literally all the time. I have a Macbook Pro (M1, 2020)
