i experience frequent OOM error recently on windows, this happens after cursor reset my user profile, this happens pretty randomly but I am experiencing more than 10 times yesterday, never have such issue so frequently ever before

Steps to Reproduce

happens randomly with cursor chat open

Operating System

Windows 10/11

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Version: 1.7.52
VSCode Version 1.99.3

Hey, thanks for the report. This matches an ongoing investigation into OOM crashes in recent versions, especially related to chat history.

Does this happen across all projects or just one?
Do you have any MCP servers configured? (Settings → MCP)

Try safe mode: cursor --disable-extensions

I only have one project – I use a monorepo setup, yes I have context7 and duckdb mcp, I will try the safe mode and let you know
