Github connect is not working

Guys,

Cursor is not able to sync to remote github repository , due to failed authentication.
I have tried 'git reject" and now both command line and cursor authentication fail , however I get the error in cursor as attached. because of this cursor is not prompting for password.

Though remote and local branches are now at same level. Cursor shows them to be different.

Since the command line git was already working. I cloned the project into another directory and deleted the old one. This fixed it.
