Please keep --classic mode indefinitely,
“Glass Mode” is apparently an attempt to look like Antigravity?
I don’t like Antigravity.
I like VS Code with a chat window to an AI.
If you force me to use copycat Antigravity there’s a good chance I will just use real Antigravity.
Hey, Classic mode isn’t going anywhere. Cursor still ships the familiar editor layout with the AI chat in the sidebar.
If Cursor opens the Agents Window on startup, you can get back to classic like this:
Start Cursor with cursor --classic. This is the most reliable way to keep Classic mode on launch.
Or go to Settings → Features and turn off Open Agents Window on startup.
Anytime, press Ctrl+Shift+N or Cmd+Shift+N to open the classic editor window.
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll pass your preference for the classic layout to the team. If you want, you can also add your vote in the main redesign thread: Cursor 3: Agents Window
