In the web interface, under “Usage,” it sometimes shows “free” for Grok 4.5 and Composer 2.5 and other times “included.” This could confuse users, even though I haven’t used up my included volume yet—it’s only at 11% usage.

Steps to Reproduce

Use Grok 4.5 and Composer 2.5, then check under “Usage” in the web interface.

Expected Behavior

From my perspective, I’d prefer if “included” were listed for both Grok 4.5 and Composer 2.5 in the web interface. Once the included volume is completely used up, the text should change to “free” in parentheses “API included,” and once that is also used up, then “API Costs.”

Hey, thanks for the report. This isn’t a bug. The labels in Usage are correct, they’re set per request, so the same model can show up with different labels.

How it works:

  • Free: the request was covered by an active promo credit for Grok 4.5 or Composer 2.5. It cost you nothing and was not taken from your included pool. So these rows are strictly better for you.
  • Included: the request was counted against your plan’s included First-party pool, the same 11% you’re seeing.

So what you see in the screenshots is expected. On July 12 the requests were covered by the promo credit (Free), and on July 10 to 11 they came from the included pool (Included). There’s no extra charge here.

I’ll pass your label wording suggestion (included → free (API included) → API Costs) to the team as UX feedback. I agree the current labels could be clearer.
