Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?
Cursor IDE
Describe the Bug
Cursor’s native agent with Grok 4.7 Extra High has gotten significantly worse at regular coding tasks over the past few weeks. Things it could easily accomplish last month seem impossible now.
Today, it couldn’t even fix a scrolling issue on a webpage after four attempts, something it would have handled without any trouble a month ago. Claude fixed it on the first try in under a minute with a one-line change.
I’ve been using Cursor for more than 10 hours a day for over a year on Ultra plan, so changes in quality are very obvious to me.
I now prefer Claude Code because Grok 4.7 Extra High has become practically useless. I really like Cursor’s native agent UX, but at this point, I can barely use it for anything.
I’m not even asking for advanced capabilities. Just keep the thing working, please.
Steps to Reproduce
Just try Grok 4.7 Extra High on any coding task, Next.JS or Python. Compare to Codex or Claude.
Expected Behavior
It should work as it worked a month ago.
Operating System
MacOS
