Grok Bot Agent Computer detached — gateway-descriptor.json missing, bots unusable 24+ hours

Hey @John_Cronin, thanks for the account details. That helped us find your computer.

Here’s what we see: your Agent Computer stopped responding on Monday, October 12 at around 2:15 PM ET, and it’s been frozen since then. The apps on Fedora, Mac Studio, and iPhone are signed in correctly and are still trying to connect, but the computer itself isn’t responding, so the bots can’t do anything that depends on it, like shell, files, or browser. Your account, Ultra plan, and privacy settings all look fine, and nothing you tried on your side could’ve fixed this.

This is an issue on our side, and I’ve added your report to the one the team is already tracking. There’s also an open incident for Grok Bot on status.cursor.com, so you can follow updates there. Your bots and their saved data are stored separately from the computer, and the last save finished a few minutes before it froze, so your setup is intact.

Until we come back with an update, please keep avoiding Update, Recover, and Reset. On a frozen computer, those can fail or overwrite data, and we want to keep your current setup untouched.

One question that would help the team: around 2:15 PM ET on October 12, did one of your bots happen to start something heavy on the computer, like a large build, a test suite, or multiple scripts at the same time?
