Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?
Grok Bot
Describe the Bug
Official Todoist plugin stays stuck on Needs auth with 0 tools. Clicking Authenticate on Plugins → Installed → Todoist does not open a browser or the Todoist app. Instead a toast appears: “Couldn’t start sign-in for Todoist. The connector reported no details.”
From the agent side, AuthenticateMcpServer (including force re-authorize) fails before sign-in starts with server check “unreachable” — not a missing credential. Restarting MCP servers did not help.
Support ticket: T-F50688 (email with Sam). Sam’s steps (update, full quit, Authenticate from Installed) were followed; we cannot get past step 3 because Authenticate never opens a browser.
Related but different: Grok Bot iOS Todoist reconnect fails once with code_challenge required for public clients (iOS gets to Todoist OAuth; this desktop case never starts OAuth).
Steps to Reproduce
- Install official Todoist plugin in Grok Bot desktop (plugin id 56809986).
- Open Plugins → Installed → Todoist. Account “default” shows Needs auth.
- Click Authenticate.
- Observe toast: “Couldn’t start sign-in for Todoist. The connector reported no details.” No browser/app opens.
- Agent force re-authorize / MCP restart still reports unreachable; tools remain 0.
Expected Behavior
Authenticate should open the Todoist OAuth browser flow so the connector can connect and expose tools.
Operating System

Additional Information
Other official connectors on the same account work (GitHub, Linear, Craft, Google Calendar, Calendly).
Happy to try uninstall → full quit (Cmd+Q) → reinstall → Authenticate again and report back. Please let me know if you need any more information.
