Grok Bot: Inkbox connect card fails with Unsupported redirect_uri

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Grok Bot

Describe the Bug

Grok Bot’s Inkbox MCP connect card fails before OAuth starts with:

Couldn’t start sign-in: Unsupported redirect_uri

Connector: Inkbox (plugin id 57102943, MCP server user-Inkbox, status needsAuth). Triggered via AuthenticateMcpServer for account=default so agents can send urgent SMS/iMessage to Holiday.

Expected: sign-in / OAuth starts from the connect card.
Actual: sign-in never starts; the card shows Unsupported redirect_uri with Retry. Card copy: “Give Cursor an Inkbox identity for email, SMS, iMessage, voice calls, contacts, n…”

Steps to Reproduce

  1. In Grok Bot, try to connect / re-authenticate the Inkbox MCP connector (plugin 57102943 / server user-Inkbox).
  2. Observe the connect card.
  3. Note it never opens a browser sign-in flow; it stays on Unsupported redirect_uri.

Expected Behavior

OAuth / Inkbox sign-in starts with a valid redirect_uri registered for Grok Bot’s MCP connect flow, so the connector can leave needsAuth.

Related (same symptom class, different connectors — do not treat as duplicates):

Distinct from Fastmail OAuth redirect issues (different product). No existing Inkbox topic found in search.

In-app SendFeedback also submitted for this report.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

Update (2026-09-05 evening ET):

Desktop Grok Bot / shared MCP auth for Inkbox now works on this account. Status is connected (user-Inkbox, plugin 57102943) with a live identity (@solly-agent). Read tools succeed (identity + channel status).

The original failure remains the iOS connect card showing Couldn’t start sign-in: Unsupported redirect_uri (screenshot in OP). So this looks like a mobile / iOS connect-card redirect_uri issue, not a general Inkbox OAuth allowlist miss — desktop completed the flow.

Haven’t re-tried the iOS connect card after the desktop success (shared connector may already be satisfied). Leaving the thread open for the iOS path.

Thanks for the update! Since Inkbox is a shared connector here (account default), the identity you authorized on desktop (@solly-agent) should carry to your phone - you likely don’t need the iOS connect card at all. Next time you’re on mobile, just ask the bot to use an Inkbox tool (or reopen the app) instead of tapping Connect.

If the iOS card still stops at “Unsupported redirect_uri” and the tools genuinely don’t work there, that’s the mobile connect flow specifically, not anything on your end - it’s an issue we’re tracking, and I’ll post back when the iOS path connects on its own.
