Describe the Bug

Grok Bot 0.66.0 on macOS, also on iPhone. Account: [email protected]
Ticket T-G23547, opened Sep 26. Every follow-up to [email protected] is answered by Sam (Grok Bot’s AI Support Assistant) or closed as a duplicate. No engineer has replied. Please do not ask me to Reset or Recover.

The cloud computer is healthy. After a message arrives, the bot replies in about one minute. The wait is before delivery.

Measured times, Asia/Shanghai:

  • Sep 27: sent 09:15, received 09:40; sent 12:58, received 13:23
  • Oct 2: sent 12:46, received 12:53 (7 min); sent 19:04, received 19:12 (8 min)
  • Oct 2, 19:30: two messages released together at 19:56 (26 min)
  • Oct 2, 19:34: Grok Bot received at 19:58
  • Oct 3, 11:23 sent, received 11:48
  • Oct 4, 10:29:22 sent, received 10:53, reply 10:54:02
  • Same delay on Grok Bot and 大管家 at the same time

The Mac app was open (started 10:29:08). The reply synced back in about 35 seconds. The hourly routine was already paused. Resetting the computer did not change it. The Oct 3 status incident is marked resolved, and this account is still held for 24–26 minutes.

Please have an engineer inspect this account’s message delivery queue and reply on this thread.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Grok Bot 0.66.0 on macOS while signed in. The same delay happens on iPhone.
  2. Send a short message to the bot.
  3. The bot does not receive it for 24–26 minutes. After it arrives, the bot replies in about one minute.
  4. The same delay happens at the same times on a second bot, 大管家, on this account.
  5. The Mac app was already open. Resetting the computer and pausing the hourly routine did not change the wait.

Expected Behavior

A message should reach the bot within seconds. The bot already replies about one minute after it receives the message. The 24–26 minute wait is before delivery.

Hey @zheng_ren, thanks for the detailed timings — they made this easy to track down.

We checked your account on our side. Your messages reach the server within a second. The wait happens after that: at the start of every reply, Grok Bot loads the saved skills and memory folder on your cloud computer, and on your account that folder has grown large enough that loading it takes about 24 minutes.

I’ve passed this to the engineering team with the details from your account.

If you’d like to try something in the meantime: ask your bot to list the largest items in its skills folder (~/sand-data/workflows) and move anything bulky that isn’t a skill, such as node_modules, .git folders or caches — to another folder outside it. The wait grows with the size of that folder. Please move, don’t delete, and let us know if the delay changes.
