Grok Bot not connecting to local computer version 0.39.0

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Grok Bot

Describe the Bug

Grok Bot 0.39.0 on Apple-silicon macOS reports “local machine isn’t connected.”

Privacy Mode is explicitly enabled, and I have already restarted, updated, retried, and signed out/in. At approximately 11:09–11:15 AM EDT on September 4, both Grok Bot and sand-local-exec-daemon remained running and maintained established TLS connections to Cursor’s gateway, but the cloud Bot still could not recognize the Mac.

Please check and repair this account’s local-machine registration, ownership generation, and local-exec pairing server-side. This appears to match forum topic 170596, where a backend adjustment was required.

Steps to Reproduce

I loaded up Grok Bot and tried to create a new bot and got consistent disconnect errors.

Operating System

MacOS

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hi @AaronW I’ve updated your Grok Bot computer to the latest version from our side.

Please fully quit and reopen Grok Bot, then try accessing your Mac again. Your Bots and files should remain intact. Let me know if it still reports that your local machine isn’t connected.

@kevinn Thank you, confirmed it’s working now!
