Grok Bot: project folders that hold a squad, not just a flat hide list

One-level sidebar folders exist. That is not enough when each project is a coordinator plus specialists.

I run one product (AIDVP) with a coordinator and five specialists: acceptance, hardening, release, deploy host, demo pack. The next product needs the same pattern. Hide-from-sidebar is useful for idle bots, but it is not grouping. A one-level folder still leaves every specialist as a peer of every other project’s lead.

Ask:

• A folder is a project. Put the coordinator and its specialists in it. Collapse the whole project when I am not in it.

• Keep hide and search as they are.

Without project-scoped squads, the “one bot per job” model does not scale past one active product.

Agreed. We need some sort of additional layer to be able to work on separate things with the same agents/personalities.

Because I really want to build an agent-based system where each folder is a separate project. In each one, I’d have specific sub-agents that work on tasks tailored to that particular project, with their own knowledge and data, so I can configure different automations for my agents.

Hey @diaoguoliang, thanks for laying this out so clearly!

Have you tried Channels? Hit the + at the top of the sidebar, then pick New Channel. Name it after the project, and add the coordinator and their specialists (a channel holds up to 6 bots). The whole squad then lives in one sidebar row and works together in that shared space.
