Grok Bot: QuickBooks Online as a first-party Cursor MCP connector

Feature request for product/service

Cursor IDE

Describe the request

Cursor IDE — Grok Bot

Cursor has first-party MCP connectors for mail, chat, and payments. There is no QuickBooks Online connector in the catalog.

Intuit already publishes an official QBO MCP server and a normal OAuth app (Client ID / Client Secret). Production needs an App Assessment questionnaire and a public HTTPS callback for the first handshake. After that it is tokens. That is a lot of custom wiring for a bookkeeping tool most companies already run.

A shared or cloud agent browser is a bad path for QBO. Intuit’s login often treats datacenter IPs as bots (captcha / unusual-traffic). The useful path is MCP.

Ask:

  1. Ship a Cursor-native QuickBooks Online connector, same install/connect flow as Gmail or Stripe.
  2. Support read-only (or View-only) as a first-class option, not one global write-tool list for every account.
  3. Keep OAuth per account. Do not upscope a read-only token.

Version: Grok Bot chat — early beta
Does this stop you: No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Agreed this would be useful! We’re already tracking requests for this internally and I’ve added your feedback.
