Describe the Bug

grok bot 0.36.0 on windows fails repeatedly on first time set up with “couldn’t finish set up, cant reach your computer”. Tried DNS 1.1.1.1, IPV6 disabled, flushDNS, reboot, and phone hotspot. nothing worked.

Steps to Reproduce

open grok bot, choose productivity, connect Microsoft 365, create a bot called Email, click get started - error appears at Getting your team ready, error grok bot couldn’t finish setting up. can’t reach your computer right now. check connection and try again.

Expected Behavior

the bot should finish provisioning and open the chat screen - instead it diesat “getting your team ready”

Hey, thanks for the detailed report. This isn’t related to your network or DNS, your setup was correct. Earlier today there was a temporary issue on the service side, so Grok Bot couldn’t finish the initial setup and showed the “couldn’t finish setting up / can’t reach your computer” screen. It’s fixed now.

Open Grok Bot again and click Try again on that screen (or just sign in again if the app starts from scratch). Setup should finish and open the chat. No reinstall or reset needed.

If it still doesn’t work after that, reply here with the time you tried and I’ll take another look.
