If I delete the shortcut the installer creates on my Windows desktop,
the program entirely disappears from the Start menu and I have to reinstall it again!

Hey, I think this is actually a different bug we are suffering with right now, where Cursor auto-updates really slowly once you close it, and can basically uninstall itself!
We are working on a fix right now!
