High Load, and usage percentage shows 0% and does not update

Describe the Bug

Where does the bug appear?

Cursor dashboard / usage tracking

Describe the bug

My usage percentage currently shows 0% and does not change after I continue using Cursor. It appears to be stuck at 0%.

Could you please clarify whether this is only a dashboard/UI reporting issue, or whether usage during this period is still being counted against my included usage / quota?

Expected behavior

The usage percentage should update as I use Cursor, or the dashboard should clearly indicate if there is a reporting delay.

Actual behavior

The usage percentage stays at 0% and does not change.

Additional question

If the dashboard is stuck at 0%, will the requests I make during this time still be counted for billing or quota purposes?

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the Cursor dashboard / usage page.
  2. Continue using Cursor normally after the usage percentage is shown.
  3. Refresh the dashboard or wait for the usage data to update.
  4. The usage percentage still shows 0% and does not change.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

This bug also caused me to use more Cursor usage than expected. Since the dashboard/usage percentage was showing 0%, my automation assumed that there was still enough available usage remaining.

As a result, the automation did not plan tasks conservatively or limit its activity based on the actual remaining quota. This made the usage tracking issue more serious, because downstream automation logic depended on the displayed usage percentage being accurate.

Could you please confirm whether the usage made while the percentage was stuck at 0% is still counted, and whether there is a more reliable source/API for checking remaining usage?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

The Usage/Spending page does not display actual usage data

Steps to Reproduce

1.Log in to Cursor with a Pro plan.
2.Navigate to Settings → Spending (or visit cursor.com/dashboard/spending).
3.Observe the “Included in Pro” section — it shows 0% usage and “0% Rules and 0% API used”.
4.Open browser DevTools → Network tab and filter by usage.
5.Notice that the API response for get-current-period-usage returns actual non-zero usage data (used: 3000, limit: 3000), confirming the backend has the correct data.
6.The frontend fails to render/bind this data to the UI.

Expected Behavior

The Spending page should correctly display the actual usage percentage and breakdown

Windows 10/11

I got the same issue and the web dashboard shows 0%

Seems like there are some major Cursor outages currently

Same problem for me (+ “High Load” error)

Hey everyone, yeah, looks like this is a display bug with the usage bar. For some users right now, the percent on the Usage/Spending page shows 0% even though the backend has the data. This is just a display issue, tracking isn’t lost. I’ve already shared this with the team.

Have the same problem. I thing it might be connected with another issue I (and other people have) right now as well.

Good. But what about unable to make any conversation in Cursor IDE? Any request ends up with “High Load” error. Seems like you’re lack of information or something, because it’s not just display issue..

Thanks for the clarification.

I understand that this is currently considered a display-only issue and that the backend data is still intact. However, I want to emphasize that the displayed usage percentage is not just informational for some users.

In my case, I rely on the usage page to monitor remaining usage and make decisions about how to plan Cursor work. Because the percentage stayed at 0%, my automation incorrectly assumed that there was still enough available usage and continued running tasks without adjusting the plan or limiting activity.

So even if the backend data is correct, the stale/incorrect usage percentage can still directly affect user behavior, automation decisions, and cost/quota planning.

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

I have an Ultra subscription and the reset didn’t work. I can’t use any model. Please look at the attached image. Right after I select any model that consumes API usage, even though the reset has happened, I still cannot use any model — it automatically switches to Composer 2.5. This is urgent. I really want to use it, but it is blocking me. I’m not going to pay for another $200 subscription. Please look at the attached image.

Steps to Reproduce

Have an Ultra Plan account that received the reset, then try to write code and call any model that consumes API usage.

Expected Behavior

It should work as usual and continue without automatically switching to Composer 2.5.

Thanks for the confirmation.

I suggest Cursor to make announcement ASAP that this was a bug, since lot of people were already thinking this is Cursor Reset

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey there.

Is it global or just me? I have been getting “We’re experiencing high demand right now. Please try again in a few moments.” for a while now.

Could someone please help?

So the issue is Global. It’s not you and me. The cursor team needs to look into it. Seems like infrastructure overload.

Seems like someone in the Cursor Team got their coffee cup dropped onto the server bench lmao

I’ve also been getting this for the last ~30 minutes or so

Hope they will compensate this outage somehow to us. This is major event and many businesses is need Cursor right now (by right now i mean right at the moment).

Have the same problem on Pro plan. More than an hour already.

I’m getting the same error
