How Agent Review Usage Counted?

I just started using “Agent Review” in Cursor and the only information I got in the Usage page is how many tokens were being used. I couldn’t see the real model being used behind agent_review nor be able to choose on my own. The only thing I noticed (not sure if it’s true) that it reduced my Premium usage.

Can I see and pick the model for the agent review? for example if I want to use Composer 2.5 since it will use the Auto instead Premium.

Hey, about agent_review:

  • The model isn’t chosen by the user. It’s picked server-side based on the depth. Quick review uses a lighter model, Deep uses a stronger thinking model. On the Usage page this is intentionally shown as just agent_review, without revealing the specific model.
  • You can’t switch Agent Review to Composer 2.5, or any other model from the main picker. It’s a separate pipeline from the regular agent or composer.
  • Your note about Premium usage is correct. Agent Review counts as Included usage and draws from the Pro plan pool. You can’t switch it in Auto or Composer.
