How can I roll back to version 0.45?

I really dislike the 0.46 version; I much prefer the previous 0.45 version where Chat and Composer were separate. My habit is to first discuss with the AI in Chat and then execute in Composer. Now, I can’t discuss—it directly modifies my code! Another thing that annoys me is that files and folders have been merged together. Why? Wasn’t it better to keep them separate?
How can I revert back to the 0.45 version?

@windows I just download previous version, unpack with 7z and use it. It will share config with installed

Hey, you can choose the Ask mode for simple interaction with AI, and the Agent mode for editing your project.

I got the installation package for version 0.45 from a friend, thank you.

Thank you. I just tried out this feature, but I still believe it’s more reasonable to keep Chat and Composer separate.

Totally! Using separate chat and composer is better because I don’t want introduce fluff content into the agent window context, do cursor team can understand this finally? Please cursor team.

Be aware that when doing this, you may see issues with the parsing and formatting of your chats and composer sessions in the older versions. I’ve been experiencing similar issues (as many others) with the updates from 0.45 to 0.46 and 0.47 and just tried to reinstall the older version (0.45.17). While most things seem to load ok, I do see that some Chats (worked with in 0.46 and 0.47) are repeating parts of the chat in strange ways; i.e., the original response, and then it repeats the response but with the parts oddly formatted. It may be that the unified Chat/Agent work is not able to split cleanly back into the previous tabbed mode?
