How does the cursor rules work now?

Hey,

How does the cursor rules work now?
My .mdc is inside .cursor/rules but it seems not working. I’m using only the chatting mode. Should I keep using the .cursorrules file?

I would like to know this too. It’s been a very frustrating experience for me. No matter where I put my rules, and no matter how I structure them, they are completely ignored. I even tried with a basic rule (and it was the only one I had) saying “DO NOT add code comments UNLESS I ask you to do so” and it did not make any difference.

Hey, I’m going through the same thing as you. I’m also waiting for a response.

I’m another one going through the same mess. Ironically, I had quite a nice setup going before this latest update.
