Hey, currently the commit message generation feature doesn’t use your ‘Rules for AI’, but I’ve raised this with the team and we may be able to add this in a future update.

In the “User Rules” i added a little sentence saying to put the commits in English and it works well:
Always respond in Francais. Write commit message in English

Currently, support for different languages for commit messages has been added, but how can the language of the commit message be changed individually? For example, I want all other replies to be in Chinese, but the commit needs to be in English.

@weipengzou yes currently Commit Message does not use requests and does not use rules. As Dan reported Cursor Team may add the language support in future updates.
