How to fix a problem with dublicated code?

I use the lastest version of Cursor 0.40.4. 3 days ago the problem appeared. What should i do to fix it?

Don’t think we can fix on user side, they definitely changed something in the backend, which made everything worse in cursor from last 4 days. We need to look for something else, I saw so many users reporting this and didn’t see single response from support.

The problem was not solved. I don’t know what to do. I write a query, it seems to go all right and passes code processing, but when it goes through the whole file it just copies the whole part of the code to the beginning and gets 700 lines instead of 350 lines.

I deleted all the folders that were listed in the manual. I downloaded it again, but the problem still persists, I use all neural networks one by one, but it doesn’t help.

idk sometimes it works well sometimes it dublicates again

I split the file into smaller files with less code and it doesn’t seem to do it anymore. Pain in the ass, but better than having to constantly paste in the code myself

The fact of the matter is that it either duplicates or does not duplicate several times and only some files, namely the server file that cannot be divided

I have the same problem but it only seems to happend with claude 3.5

FWIW I posted this suggestion for one situation that frequently leads to whole-file duplication. I doubt anyone actually read it, it scrolled off into the noise pretty fast, but eh, here it is again anyway:

i have no idea. It keeps duplicating and duplicating the code, nothing helps. no reinstallation or request to enter something else.
