How to set the language of the software interface

Hey, you can change the UI language using the standard command:

  1. Open the Command Palette: Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows/Linux or Cmd+Shift+P on macOS.
  2. Run Configure Display Language.
  3. Pick your language. If it’s not installed yet, Cursor will prompt you to install the matching Language Pack, for example, Chinese (Simplified) 简体中文.
  4. Restart Cursor to apply it.

One note on expectations: the Language Pack only translates the editor UI like menus, settings, and panels. Cursor’s own surfaces like the Settings/account page and the Agent/Chat window are still mostly not localized and stay in English. That’s a separate request for full localization, and it’s being tracked.
