Hey I have a pro cursor plan. Today, out of nowhere, I just got this user unauthorized error. It’s so frustrated.
Can someone help me with this??
Hey, thanks for the report and the screenshot with the Request ID, that makes it clear.
Your account and Pro plan look fine. The request is being rejected because the system clock on your Mac is noticeably behind the real time, looks like by about a couple of days. Our servers reject requests from a machine when the clock is that far off, and unfortunately it shows up as a generic User is unauthorized.
How to fix it:
- Open System Settings → General → Date & Time.
- Turn on Set time and date automatically. If it’s already on, turn it off and back on.
- Make sure the date and time now match the real time.
- Fully quit Cursor, Cursor → Quit Cursor, or
Cmd+Q, then open it again. - Send a message in a new chat.
If the error still happens after that, send a new Request ID and your Cursor version, Cursor → About Cursor, and we’ll take another look.
