Last month I used $94, this month I only used $43 to trigger the limits
3$ month subscribe + worked agent on all models connected via openrouter or local
If I wanted to be fair, I would charge my costs + an amount that supports future development.
This is not how business is done these days. The idea is get the user used to free stuff until the base grows large, then monetize the whole thing and ignore the complainers.
Right now, I don’t have any connection to Cursor — I wish I did.
I’d really appreciate it if you could try it out and update me.
I tried it, paid for a subscription, and then went back.
The problems I ran into were:
- Terrible slowness.
- Not the same type of response. In Cursor, the models act less lazily and were adapted to write code directly.
- In one of them — you should check this yourself — I wrote something, and instead of looking in the codebase, it gave me a ridiculous answer.
I still think this happens because of the pricing model: since they get paid per request, they have no incentive for you to use it heavily…
But it’s also related to the way Cursor handles the models.
