like something that I talk to agent and say Hey, do that things in parallel, and the agent said ok I will start a new topic and I will continue doing this task. You can go to this Agent Chat to catch up the changes. Is cursor team feel interested? I want it!

Hey, thanks for the feature request!

Right now you can run multiple agents in parallel using:

  1. Cloud agents - run async agents in the cloud. You can start several cloud agents at once and track their progress. More info: Cloud Agents | Cursor Docs

  2. Multiple chat tabs - you can manually open multiple agent tabs (press Cmd/Ctrl + L a few times) and run different tasks in each one

The specific feature you mean, where the agent creates a new chat on its own and delegates tasks, isn’t available yet, but it’s been requested before. I’ll make sure to pass this feedback to the team.

Thank u bro. Now I have updated to the newest Cursor 2.3.34. Now it will lagging when Agent are Grepping for files like that

Thanks, I can see the agent is stuck on grepping.

Waiting for an hour definitely isn’t normal.

  • Cancel the current operation (Stop Agent)
  • Restart Cursor
  • Try running the task again

If it happens again, we’ll need a bit more info:

  • Request ID (chat menu in the top-right → Copy Request ID)
  • Your project size (roughly how many files or lines of code)
  • What the agent was trying to do right before it got stuck

That should help the team figure out what’s going on. A few users have reported agent performance issues in version 2.3.x, so your report will be helpful.
