Is the .deb version supposed to be a few minor versions behind appImage

Hi,

I recently switched from appImage to .deb b/c Ubuntu 24 LTS seems to complain with AppImage when I forget to run it without the “no-sandbox” option. I noticed that the deb file is a few minor versions behind appImage. Is that intentional?

Thanks!

As we can auto-update the AppImage format, it’s more likely that, when we are gradually rolling out new releases to users, those on auto-updating versions will get the newest updates slightly quicker.

However, once a version is made available to everyone, you should see an in-app alert telling you a new version is available, and to use your chosen package manager to update!
