I’m I misunderstanding this or Grok bot is taking from my Tier 1 Cursor quota? If it does what is the point of the weekly quota for the bot?

I have checked both accounts against the counters that actually enforce your Cursor plan limits, and Grok Bot is not drawing on them. Every Grok Bot turn on both accounts has been metered against the separate weekly Grok Bot allowance only.
@TByte007: your Cursor Models bar (7.6% at the time of the screenshot) matches your own Grok 4.6 usage in the Cursor app exactly. The grok-bot-default row underneath it is a display grouping issue we are already tracking: the per-model list does not filter Grok Bot out yet, so a Grok Bot row appears inside the Cursor Models list and takes a slice of the percentage away from your real models. The bar itself is right.
@z_l: same thing on your side. Your Cursor Models and Other Models bars reached 100% from your own usage in the Cursor app (mostly Auto and Grok 4.6 in agent sessions), and the Grok Bot rows in the breakdown did not add to either bar.
Two things worth knowing so there are no surprises: if you ask Grok Bot to launch a Cursor cloud coding agent, that agent runs as a normal Cursor agent and does count toward your Cursor plan (it shows up as a regular model row with the cloud agent icon). And once the weekly Grok Bot allowance hits 100%, further Grok Bot usage can spill into on-demand usage if you have an on-demand limit set; you can set that limit to $0 under Dashboard, Billing to prevent it.

You should check it by referring to the screenshots in my post. Since I haven’t continued to use the bot, yet my usage quota has been continuously increasing. At present, I dare not use the bot anymore and have uninstalled it.
Same, I just logged out from the bot and stopped it.
The thing is even “funnier”. The bot is stopped+logged out and the only recurring task is disabled yet i can see the usage of the bot which it takes from my tier 1 Cursor usage increasing (by 0.1 but still) !
