I saw the recent post regarding codestral, and how it can be added as an option by adding codestral to your model list. My question is: how many other optional models are available, and is there a list of these optional models we can add?

Hi, that’s a good question. Here are some methods that might work in Cursor:

  • You can add your API key from https://openrouter.ai, this service offers a variety of models with different pricing from providers. You can find the list of models here.
  • You can add the Codestral model in the Cursor settings, I’ve already explained how to do this here: Support for Codestral? - #26 by deanrie.
  • You can add the DeepSeek Coder model, instructions on how to do this are described here.
  • You can add API keys from models like OpenAI, Claude, and Azure, and they will work directly.
